Tüpraş suspends production in two units

Tüpraş has decided to suspend production in the hydrocracker unit for four weeks, and in the coker unit for optimization purposes after the first two weeks of this period. In order to fix the malfunction that occurred in the hydrocracker unit of the fuel oil conversion facilities of the İzmit refinery, Tüpraş has decided to suspend production in the hydrocracker unit for four weeks (August 19 – September 15) according to the current maintenance plan, and in the coker unit after the first two weeks of the shutdown for optimization purposes. In a statement made by the company to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), it was stated that during the period when production was suspended, diesel production would continue at full capacity in all other units in the İzmit refinery, and that since the decrease in production due to the shutdown was planned to be covered by imports, no significant impact was expected on final sales volume. The company reported that an EBITDA loss of approximately USD 110 million could be on the agenda due to the decrease in production.
