In addition to mobile phones, vehicles and televisions imported for commercial purposes and manufactured domestically, computers, tablets and smart watches have also been added to the scope of the TRT Institution e-Bandrol application. The scope of the TRT Institution e-Bandrol application has been expanded. In addition to mobile phones, vehicles and televisions imported for commercial purposes and manufactured domestically, computers, tablets and smart watches have also been added to the scope in question. Those without a serial number, IMEI number and chassis number of these devices will not be able to benefit from the e-Bandrol application. The regulation that makes amendments to the Turkish Radio and Television Institution e-Bandrol application regulation was published in today’s Official Gazette. According to the amendments made in the regulation, in order for taxpayers producing domestically to benefit from the e-Bandrol application, they will be required to have an annual production capacity of 500 thousand units for televisions and 100 thousand units for each computer, tablet and smart watch based on the capacity report they will submit. In the previous application, these figures were limited to the conditions that taxpayers who were still operating had received 20 thousand television banderols the previous year, and taxpayers who started operating for the first time had an annual production capacity of 20 thousand televisions according to the capacity report they would submit. TRT is authorized to increase it up to four times or reduce it to zero. TRT will be authorized to increase the newly determined production capacity figures up to four times or reduce it to zero separately for each type of device. If irregularities are detected regarding the IMEI number, chassis number or serial number of devices subject to banderol during the inspections, the taxpayer who was detected will not be able to benefit from the e-Banderol application as of the date of detection. In this case, the taxpayer will be given a physical banderol. If a device without a banderol is detected to be sold 3 times within a year, the taxpayer's e-Banderol application will be terminated and the taxpayer will be given a physical banderol. If there is no negative detection regarding the banderol within 2 years as of the date of the last detection made about the taxpayer, the taxpayer will be able to benefit from the e-Banderol application again.
