BOJ/Kuroda: Need to continue ultra-loose monetary policy

Bank of Japan Governor Harihuko Kuroda has emphasized the importance of continuing ultra-loose monetary policy to support companies to boost the economy and wages. Speaking in parliament, Bank of Japan Governor Harihuko Kuroda said that inflation in Japan is driven by import prices and that it will take time to sustainably achieve the 2 percent price stability target. "Uncertainty about the Japanese economy is extremely high. Therefore, it is important to support the economy and create an environment where companies can increase wages at this time," Kuroda said in her speech.
