Double penalty for repeat overpricing

According to the regulation published in the Official Gazette, if exorbitant price practices are repeated within one year, a fine twice the previous fine will be imposed. If exorbitant price and stockpiling practices determined as a result of the Unfair Price Assessment Board’s evaluation are repeated within one year, an administrative fine twice the previous fine will be imposed. Amendments were made to the Unfair Price Assessment Board regulation regarding the working principles of the Unfair Price Assessment Board, which will operate during states of emergency, disasters, periods of economic fluctuations and other emergencies. With a paragraph added to the regulation published in the Official Gazette, it was stipulated that if the violation requiring the imposition of administrative fines is repeated within one calendar year, an administrative fine twice the previous fine will be imposed for each repetition.
