EBRD invests 140 million euros for Antalya Airport

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is providing a 140 million euro loan to Fraport TAV Antalya Investment for the airport investment in Antalya. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), which has signed a 1.6 billion euro investment in Turkey in 2022 and has a 1.5 billion euro investment commitment for the earthquake-affected region, continues its investments in Turkey. According to the statement made by the EBRD, it is providing a 140 million euro capital investment bridge loan to Fraport TAV Antalya Investment, Construction and Operation (FTA). It was stated that the financing in question is part of the financing package that includes funds from the International Finance Corporation and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). It is envisaged that the EBRD's investment will support the completion of the new infrastructure of Antalya airport and energy efficiency investments. The project also includes investments in LEED-certified terminals and a solar power plant. It was stated that FTA has also committed to increasing the share of female employees in the contracted workforce for the investment. Making a statement about the loan, TAV CFO Burcu Geriş stated that the loan provided by EBRD will contribute to capacity investments at Antalya airport.
