Micron breaks ground on $15 billion U.S. factory

US chipmaker Micron Technology has broken ground on its new $15 billion chip factory in Boise, Idaho. The factory, which is expected to start production in phases in 2025, will initially employ 2,000 workers. The company aims to invest more than $150 billion in global manufacturing and R&D over the next decade.
