Erdogan calls on US to lift steel tariffs

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with US business people. Erdoğan said at the event that protectionist practices such as additional customs duties in the steel and aluminum sectors, which the US unilaterally implemented in 2018, continue to negatively affect trade relations. Erdoğan said, "The removal of additional duties in these sectors or the allocation of quotas granted to some other countries to Turkey will make significant contributions to our joint efforts."
