Additional quota for students in earthquake zones

President Erdoğan announced that an additional 25 percent quota will be allocated for high school students in earthquake zones in state universities in their own provinces. Erdoğan made the following assessments: "We will allocate a separate 25 percent quota for these students in addition to general placement at state universities in our provinces in the earthquake zone. These students will be able to place in additional quotas allocated according to their score priority and order of preference among themselves, in addition to the nationwide ranking. In addition, 1 place will be allocated to these students in each program in all private universities. We hope that these decisions, from which a total of 21,560 students will benefit, will be beneficial for our young people who will be placed in universities in the 2023-2024 academic year."
