Ömer Bolat: The goal is to increase production and trade

Bolat, who took over the Ministry of Trade from Muş, stated that the main goal is to increase production and trade, and underlined that he wants to improve the current deficit and increase foreign exchange reserves. Ömer Bolat, who was appointed as the Minister of Trade, took over his duty from Mehmet Muş. Speaking at the handover ceremony held at the Ministry of Trade, Minister Bolat reminded that the duty of running the Ministry of Trade was entrusted to him in the Presidential Cabinet announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Bolat thanked Minister Muş, his team and the ministry bureaucrats who have successfully carried out their duties as minister to date, and stated that all ministers who have served to date have contributed to the increase in exports from 36 billion dollars to 255 billion dollars in 20 years, and said that the ministry will benefit from the ideas and contributions of all managers and employees. Bolat stated that the difficult election process and election tension were left behind and continued as follows: "The Turkish Century has now begun. From now on, we say everything is for our Turkey and our people. We will work together with the representatives of our valuable business world, TOBB, DEİK, TİM, TESK, chambers of tradesmen, voluntary organizations, MUSIAD, TUSIAD, ASKON, TUMSIAD, IGIAD and all our organizations, who are stakeholders of our ministry and economy. I have worked in many organizations of the economy and in the real sector in my 41 years of business life. I know our business world, industrial and commercial organizations and organized industrial zones well. God willing, we will solve the existing problems together. We will also work together with our valuable members of parliament." We want to improve our current deficit and increase our foreign exchange reserves. Pointing out that they will work hard for a strong economy and the welfare and happiness of the people in the Turkish Century, Bolat made the following assessment: "Our main goal is to increase production and trade. If trade increases, prosperity increases. We want to improve our current deficit and increase our foreign exchange reserves by continuously growing our exports of goods and services. At this point, I would like to emphasize that our exports of services are as important as exports of goods. We will focus on removing some of the negative effects, residues, and excessive price increases in the trade market due to the Covid-19 pandemic that has ravaged the world for 2-2.5 years. In terms of protecting the purchasing power of our people, it is our priority, as our government, to accelerate the decline in the inflation rate in the last 6-7 months and to ensure price stability." Muş expressed that they had worked with Bolat before and were pleased with his appointment as Minister. Drawing attention to the fact that this was a relay race, Muş said that Bolat would bring the flag he received from them to better levels. Muş stated that they had carried out productive work for two years and thanked all of his colleagues. Muş stated that from now on, they will try to provide all their support as a member of the Assembly for the legal regulations that the Ministry will need, congratulated Bolat and wished him success.
