Highways and bridges free for Eid al-Adha

Due to the Eid al-Adha holiday, there will be no tolls on highways and bridges under the responsibility of the General Directorate of Highways. Free tolls will start at midnight on June 24 and continue until 07:00 on Monday, July 3. With only a few days left until Eid al-Adha, the decision regarding the bridges and highways operated by the state being free of charge during the holiday was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force. Accordingly, due to the Eid al-Adha holiday, tolls on highways under the responsibility of the General Directorate of Highways (KGM) and the July 15 Martyrs Bridge and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge will be free of charge starting from 00:00 on Saturday, June 24 (the night connecting Friday to Saturday) until 07:00 on Monday, July 3. Build-operate-transfer projects were excluded from the free toll application. Citizens will be able to benefit from Başkentray, Marmaray and İZBAN services as well as public transportation services provided by municipalities and their unions, institutions and businesses free of charge from Wednesday, June 28 at 00:00 (the night between Tuesday and Wednesday) until the end of the day on Friday, July 1 (during the Eid al-Adha).
