Unemployment in South Korea increased in June

South Korea's unemployment rate rose to 2.6 percent in June South Korea's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose slightly to 2.6 percent in June after reaching a record low of 2.5 percent in May. Unemployment decreased by 0.4 percentage points in June from the same period a year earlier, to 763,000. Data from the country's statistics department showed that South Korea's employment-to-population ratio rose by 0.6 percentage points year-on-year to 63.5 percent in June.
