Request for 'adaptation' from EYT members

The President of the Federation of Those Stuck in Retirement Age (EYT), Arzu Lastikçi, said that the Adaptation Law implemented for those who retired before 2000 should also be enacted for those who retired after 2000. In a press statement, the President of the Federation of Those Stuck in Retirement Age (EYT), Arzu Lastikçi, stated that the fact that the lowest retirement salaries were increased to 7,500 liras while other retirees were not given a raise was against the principle of social justice. Arguing that those who retired with high premiums and years were being treated unfairly, Lastikçi said, "We demand that the lowest retirement salary not be below the minimum wage, but that the minimum wage not be below the lowest civil servant salary in the process we have reached, and that the figures, especially in kitchen and food inflation, be brought under control." Stating that an age limit was added to the two conditions for retirement, which are years of service and premium days, Lastikçi said, "The Adaptation Law enacted for those who retired before 2000 should be enacted for those who retired after 2000."
