"Iraq-Ceyhan Pipeline to be operational this week"

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Bayraktar announced that the Iraq-Turkey Oil Pipeline will become operational this week. Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar spoke at the opening session of the Abu Dhabi International Oil Fair and Conference held in the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Bayraktar stated that Turkey has always been a reliable route for oil and natural gas, and noted that as of today, 2 million barrels of oil pass through Turkey's straits per day and that the Iraq-Turkey Oil Pipeline, which has been active for approximately 45 years, has a daily oil capacity of 500 thousand barrels. Bayraktar said the following about the Iraq-Turkey Oil Pipeline, which was taken into maintenance due to the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, as well as floods and similar disasters: "The Iraq-Turkey Oil Pipeline is ready for operation as of today. We will put the line into operation this week. Once the pipeline becomes operational, 500 thousand barrels of oil will be able to be supplied to global oil markets."
