Additional tax on packaging cardboard imports to some countries

An additional tax of 25 percent has been imposed on imports of cardboard qualified as food packaging for certain country groups, while the additional tax on imports of brass-coated cables and ropes has also been increased. An additional customs duty has been imposed on imports of cardboard. According to the Presidential decree amending the decree on the application of additional customs duty on imports published in the Official Gazette, an additional tax of 25 percent has been imposed on imports of cardboard qualified as food packaging for certain country groups. The additional tax applied to imports of brass-coated cables has been increased by 20 points for the same country groups. According to the decree, an additional customs duty of 25 percent will be applied to imports of cardboard qualified as food packaging within this scope from the generalized system of preferences (GTS) and other countries. The additional customs duty of 5 percent applied to imports of brass-coated cables and ropes included in the same list from these countries has been increased by 20 points to 25 percent.
