The President of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB), Dr. Hafize Gaye Erkan, attended the meeting titled "Financial Perspective on Turkish-German Economic Relations" organized in cooperation with the German-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Turkey) and the German Embassy. Erkan said that with the recent increase in stability, many German companies have been working on investments in Turkey. According to the statement made by AHK Turkey, the meeting was held in Ankara with the participation of German Ambassador to Ankara Jürgen Schulz, TCMB President Erkan and German Central Bank Board Member Burkhard Balz. Emphasizing that Turkish-German economic relations are the product of a historical partnership that has been going on for many years and that this relationship has made significant contributions to the growth and development of both countries, Ersoy said that Turkey's dynamic economy creates great potential in the eyes of foreign investors and with the recent increase in stability, many German companies have been working on investments in Turkey. Ersoy stated that stronger commercial relations and increasing mutual investments between Turkey and Germany will continue to be the primary focus of AHK Turkey's activities. “Turkish-German economic relations are particularly intense” German Ambassador to Ankara Jürgen Schulz also said, “Turkish-German economic relations are particularly intense. Representatives of more than 200 member companies of AHK Turkey attended the meeting, where Hafize Gaye Erkan made a presentation on the inflation outlook and the transition process to disinflation.
