Erdogan: We broke the back of inflation, we will erase its effects

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also made evaluations regarding the economic agenda in his statements to members of the media upon his return from Uzbekistan. Erdoğan made the following statements regarding the economy: We are determined to combat the inflation problem that also occupies the global agenda. We have broken the back of inflation and will erase its effects in the coming period. We have always said that we will not let our employees and retirees be crushed by inflation and thank God, we kept our promise. We increased the minimum wage at a rate never seen before in the history of the Republic. We increased the salaries of our retirees and developed solutions that will make them more comfortable and we will implement them very soon. As you know, we planned to make the 5 thousand lira bonus payments that will make our retirees more comfortable in the short term this month. We have stood by our retirees and employees with the measures we have taken and the payments we will make, and we will continue to do so from now on. As you know, the minimum wage issue has its own schedule. We had relieved our workers with an interim increase, and now I believe that we will bring the workers and employers together and find the most reasonable solution.
