Global markets await US inflation

Global markets are focused on inflation data to be released in the US. According to Bloomberg Economics, the flat monthly consumer inflation in the US and the decline in inflation expectations will pave the way for the Fed to consider interest rate cuts. Global stock markets are rising ahead of consumer inflation data to be released in the US and interest rate decisions to be monitored throughout the week. The S&P 500 index, which closed the first trading day of the week with a 0.4 percent increase, continues to rise in futures. Following the Reuters report that President Xi Jinping and other top leaders have launched the annual Central Economic Work Conference to discuss China's 2024 growth target and plans, all eyes are on how much stimulus could come next year. In Asia, indices are in positive territory except for the flat China CSI 300. The Bloomberg Dollar Index, which rose 0.15 percent on Monday, is down 0.12 percent this morning at 1,242.
