Alphabet Considers Buying HubSpot

Google’s parent company Alphabet is reportedly considering buying online marketing software company HubSpot. According to sources familiar with the matter, Alphabet is in talks with its advisors about the possibility of making a bid for online marketing software company HubSpot, which has a market value of $35 billion. If Alphabet makes an offer, the acquisition would be a rare example of a major tech company attempting a mega deal amid increased regulatory scrutiny of the sector under the administration of US President Joe Biden. On the other hand, the potential acquisition is discussed to be Alphabet’s largest acquisition to date. Sources also reported that Alphabet has been in talks with Morgan Stanley for HubSpot in recent days. While Alphabet and Morgan Stanley have not commented on the subject, a HubSpot spokesperson said, “HubSpot does not comment on rumors or speculation. We continue to focus on building a great business and serving our customers.”
