Additional tax on Chinese automotive imports

With the regulation published in the Official Gazette, an additional tax was imposed on all fuel-type passenger vehicles imported from China. Turkey has decided to impose an additional tax on passenger vehicles imported from China. According to the regulation published in the Official Gazette, the 40 percent tax currently applied to electric cars will also be applied to all fuel-type vehicles. In addition, the lowest customs duty was determined as 7 thousand dollars with the regulation. The decision published as of June 8 will enter into force on the 30th day following its publication.
