Tariff increase rates for natural gas for residential, industrial and electricity production purposes have been announced

Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAŞ) decided to increase the wholesale sales price tariff for electricity generation purposes for June by 16.28% compared to the tariff valid in the previous month. The unit price of natural gas used in residences was increased by 30 percent, and the unit price of natural gas used outside of electricity generation was increased by 10 percent. According to Montel-Foreks, BOTAŞ increased the tariff by 44.29% on a monthly basis in April and the price valid for electricity generation was determined as 10.750000 TL/Sm³ [0.70018797 TL/kWh]. This tariff continued unchanged in May. It is seen that the June tariff increased by 629.61% compared to the same period of the previous year. The tariff valid for gas use for electricity generation purposes in June 2021 was 1.713250 TL/Sm³ (0.16101974TL/kWh). The tariffs to be applied to subscriber groups in June will be as follows: - 4.687497 TL/Smᶟ for eligible consumers whose annual withdrawal amount is 300,000 Smᶟ and below, - 10.416667 TL/Smᶟ for eligible consumers whose annual withdrawal amount is 300,001 Smᶟ and above, - OIZ Stage 1: 4.687497 TL/Smᶟ, - OIZ Stage 2: 10.416667 TL/Smᶟ, - 13.000000 TL/Smᶟ for LNG.
