Increase in Special Consumption Tax on Alcoholic Beverages and Cigarettes

With the announcement of the inflation data by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the rate of the SCT increase on alcohol and cigarettes has also been determined. Accordingly, the automatic increase in SCT amounts has become 22.29 percent. With the announcement of the December Domestic Producer Price Index (DÜPFE) data by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the automatic increase rates in the fixed and minimum fixed SCT amounts collected on alcohol and tobacco products have also been determined. In the second half of last year, the DÜPFE increased by 22.29 percent. In addition, the fixed and minimum fixed SCT amounts collected on alcohol and tobacco products will also be increased by this rate.
