Contract staff arrangement in force in the public sector

The law on granting positions to public contract personnel was published in the Official Gazette. The law, which foresees granting positions to 458,615 contract employees working in the public sector, was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force. Within the scope of the law on amendments to the law on civil servants and certain laws and the decree law numbered 663, those appointed to civil servant positions cannot be transferred to other public institutions and organizations for 4 years. The positions to which those who do not have a civil servant position with the same title as their position title will be assigned will be determined by the President. The service periods of those appointed to civil servant positions in contract personnel positions will be evaluated in determining their earned rights, monthly grades and stages, provided that they do not exceed the grades they can advance to according to their educational status. Except for those working part-time for less than one year and those working in R&D projects of higher education institutions for project periods, contracted personnel within the scope of Article 4B of the Civil Servants Law and certain laws and decree laws, and contracted personnel working in local administrations will be appointed to civil servant positions if they apply in writing within 30 days.
