EBRD made the highest investment in Turkey in 2022

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) invested 1.63 billion euros in Turkey in 2022. Thus, Turkey became the country that the EBRD invested the most in 2022. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) made the largest investment in Turkey among the countries in which it operates in 2022. According to the statement made by the bank, 1.63 billion euros were invested in Turkey in 2022. Thus, Turkey became the market in which the bank invested the most for the third consecutive year. The bank's total investment in Turkey to date has reached 17 billion euros, and 85 percent of the investment was made in the private sector. Half of the investment made in Turkey in 2022 was made within the framework of the bank's 'Green Economy Transformation' and focused on a greener, low-carbon and resilient economy.
