Japan bans exports of robots and chip parts to Russia

Japan, new sanctions that will go into effect on February 3rd ban the export of chip equipment and parts, robots, energy generators, explosives and vaccines to Russia. Japan has expanded sanctions it imposed due to Russia’s attack on Ukraine. The Japanese government has banned the export of a number of strategic goods to Russia, while the number of Russians whose assets have been frozen has also increased. According to the statement, new sanctions that will go into effect on February 3rd ban the export of chip equipment and parts, robots, energy generators, explosives and vaccines to Russia. The new sanctions package has frozen the assets of three Russian companies and 22 Russian citizens.
