Rapid increase in white goods sales in January

According to the data of the Turkish White Goods Manufacturers Association (TÜRKBESD), domestic sales in six main product groups increased by 27 percent in January, reaching the highest sales in 14 months. While production increased by 3 percent in the six main groups, exports decreased by 10 percent. The Turkish White Goods Manufacturers Association (TÜRKBESD) published data comparing the production, domestic sales, exports and imports of 4 main products and 6 main products in the last two years. With the effect of wage increases, domestic sales of white goods increased rapidly. While the highest domestic sales were recorded since November 2021, production in the six main product groups consisting of refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, ovens, freezers and dryers increased by 3 percent to 2 million 374 thousand. Domestic sales increased by 27 percent in the six main groups to 561 thousand 442. Exports decreased by 10 percent. Production in Ocat increased by 2 percent in the four main groups consisting of refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers and ovens, while domestic sales increased by 21 percent and production increased by 2 percent.
