White goods production increased in August

Domestic sales increased by 5 percent annually in August, to 718,462 units, while exports decreased by 3 percent annually, to 2.1 million units. In the January-August period, annual production decreased by 5 percent, domestic sales by 6 percent, and exports by 1 percent. While imports increased by 40 percent in August, they decreased by 50 percent in the January-August period.
