China's rare earths exports hit 26-month high

China's rare earth metal exports in May reached their highest level in 26 months. According to the General Administration of Customs, rare earth metal exports increased by 9.8 percent compared to the previous month, reaching 4,863 tons. Exports in April were 4,427 tons. Thus, the highest export figure since March 2020 was reached. In the first 5 months of 2022, exports increased by 10.9 percent, reaching 21,970 tons.
