Ukraine: We are working on the extension of the Black Sea Grain Initiative

Minister of Communities, Regions and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine Aleksandr Kubrakov announced that they are working on extending the term of the Black Sea Grain Initiative. Kubrakov evaluated the Black Sea Grain Initiative talks held in Istanbul on May 10-11 in a statement he made on his social media account. Noting that the United Nations (UN) and Turkey suggested that the talks continue online, Kubrakov said, “The Ukrainian delegation is pressing for an extension of the grain initiative term and emphasizes that the registration and inspection of ships should continue without delay.” In a statement made by the Ministry of National Defense, it was reported that bilateral and multilateral talks were held with Ukraine, Russia and the UN in Istanbul on May 10-11, and that the parties held useful meetings with their constructive approaches.
