Natural gas adjustment from TÜİK to inflation calculation

In the CPI calculation between June 2023 and May 2024, the discount to be made for natural gas consumption of up to 25 cubic meters will be taken into account. The price paid for natural gas above 25 cubic meters will be taken into account in the CPI calculation. A strong downward effect in May TurkStat emphasized that this change will strongly reduce inflation in May, but will increase inflation towards the end of the year, when natural gas consumption will increase.
