Putin's statement on grain corridor

Russian President Vladimir Putin said, “We entered into the agreement to support developing countries and to lift the embargo on our agricultural sector. We have been deceived once again. We are currently considering withdrawing from this agreement.” Russian President Vladimir Putin answered questions from Russian war correspondents about the situation in Ukraine at the Kremlin Palace. Putin, who surprisingly admitted the shortcomings of his army at a time when Ukraine was carrying out a counter-attack with the support of its allies, also spoke about the permission given for grain exit. Russian President Putin said that although Russian grain exit was not allowed, they made the Black Sea Grain Initiative agreement not for the benefit of Ukraine, but for friendly countries in Africa and Latin America. Stating that Turkey was considering withdrawing from the grain corridor agreement brokered by the United Nations, Putin said, “We entered into the agreement to support developing countries and to lift the embargo on our agricultural sector. We have been deceived once again. We are currently considering withdrawing from this agreement.”
