Erdoğan: Minimum wage talks are progressing on constructive ground

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, "The minimum wage commission has started negotiations. Negotiations are progressing on a constructive basis. I believe that it will result in a beneficial development that will satisfy all parties." The second Cabinet Meeting of the new term following the May 28 presidential election was held under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Making statements after the cabinet meeting, President Erdoğan gave the following messages: We have rapidly completed all assignments in the executive body not even 10 days after the elections. We have determined and are determining the cadres that will build the Turkish Century without any delay. We will run towards our goals faster from now on. We will overcome difficulties and obstacles much more easily. We will further increase the services that touch the lives of our citizens. We are soon starting the parliamentary process regarding civil servant salary increase rates. We see that our wheat and barley purchase prices are welcomed by our producers. We will continue to support our farmers and villagers from now on. We will not let our retirees be crushed by inflation. We are bringing forward the payment of pensions for the disabled, their relatives and the elderly. “The results on minimum wages will please everyone” The minimum wage commission has started its negotiations. The negotiations are progressing on a constructive basis. I believe they will result in a beneficial development that will please all parties. Today, we also made comprehensive evaluations regarding each ministry. I had the opportunity to listen to our minister friends about their short, long and medium-term plans for the upcoming term. We have quickly formed our staff that will boost our economy in the new term. “We are declaring 11 more places as industrial areas” Our top priority is to revive the infrastructure and superstructure of 11 provinces in the earthquake zone. The cash aid collected to date amounts to 61 billion liras. We want to reunite our earthquake victims with their homes as soon as possible. We had already completed the damage assessment studies of the organized industrial zones, industrial sites and factories damaged in the earthquake. We had increased the support for our business world. With the decree we have published, we are declaring 11 more places as industrial areas.
