Elon Musk plans to invest in India

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said he wants to invest in India “as soon as possible.” Elon Musk said Tesla is likely to make a significant investment in India after meeting with Narendra Modi during the Indian Prime Minister’s visit to the US to promote development in the world’s most populous country. “I am confident that Tesla will be in India and we will do that as soon as possible. I think there is likely to be a significant investment, a relationship with India,” Musk told reporters after the meeting. Musk added that he plans to visit the country next year. “I want to thank the prime minister for his support and hopefully we can announce something in the not too distant future,” the Tesla CEO said. “India holds more promise than any major country in the world. Prime Minister Modi really cares about India; he is pushing us to make significant investments in India, which is something we intend to do. We are just trying to find the right timing,” Musk said.
