Erdogan: We will keep our promise to civil servants and retirees

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements after the Cabinet meeting. Erdoğan stated that the delivery of earthquake housing will begin in October-November. Erdoğan made the following assessment regarding the salary increases for retirees and civil servants: “We will fulfill the promises we made to retirees and civil servants once the inflation rate becomes clear.” The Cabinet meeting chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has ended. The meeting at the Presidential Complex lasted approximately 3 hours. Erdoğan said in a statement after the meeting that the delivery of earthquake housing will begin in October and November. Erdoğan said the following regarding the issue: “Our goal is to deliver 319 thousand earthquake housing units within 1 year. We will build a total of 650 thousand housing units in the region, 143 thousand of which will be village houses. The number of housing units, village houses and barns that have been constructed so far has reached 180 thousand. We cannot bring back our lost lives, but we have the means and power to compensate for our financial losses. We will work non-stop and without rest until we make our cities safer than before with their infrastructure and superstructure.” “We are monitoring the bubble forming in the prices of new and second-hand vehicles” Stating that they are closely following the bubble forming in the prices of new and second-hand vehicles, Erdoğan said, “Those who hoard will never be allowed. Our Ministry of Trade will go after this incident.” In his assessment of the economy, Erdoğan said, “Our new economy staff has accelerated its work to increase international direct investments. We had limited the increase rate in housing lease agreements to 25 percent.
