Minister Şimşek: Erdoğan to visit UAE

Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek said that President Erdoğan will visit the United Arab Emirates in the coming days and that important investments are planned to be made in Turkey as part of the visit. Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek answered reporters’ questions following the Cabinet Meeting. Stating that President Erdoğan will visit the United Arab Emirates following the NATO Leaders’ Summit, Şimşek said that important investments are planned to be made in Turkey as part of the visit. Minister Şimşek stated that the working visit he paid to the United Arab Emirates together with Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz before Eid al-Adha passed in a positive environment. Minister Şimşek emphasized that new economic cooperation opportunities were evaluated in the talks held with President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Minister Şimşek said that work on the issue was carried out during the holiday and that the framework regarding President Erdoğan’s visit would be clarified once the work was concreted. Minister Şimşek emphasized that the visit is planned to be made following the July 11-12 NATO Leaders’ Summit. Şimşek responded to journalists' question about whether they would prepare an additional budget by saying, "We'll see."
