Kremlin: Plans are being made for Putin's visit to Türkiye

Kremlin foreign policy advisor Yuriy Ushakov said regarding Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Turkey, “I can confirm that both the Turkish and Russian sides have plans for Putin’s visit to Turkey, but we have not yet agreed on a specific date and duration.” Kremlin foreign policy advisor Yuriy Ushakov spoke to reporters about Putin’s plans to meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Recalling that Putin could visit Turkey in August and that other options were also mentioned, Ushakov stated that they had not yet started work on this matter. Noting that Putin promised to come to Turkey immediately after Erdoğan’s victory in the presidential elections, Ushakov said, “I can confirm that both the Turkish and Russian sides have plans for Putin’s visit to Turkey, but we have not yet agreed on a specific date and duration.” When asked by journalists whether the grain agreement issue would be on the agenda during the talks between the two leaders, Ushakov added that it was "natural" that both leaders would discuss this issue, whether by phone or in person.
