China's auto production and sales fell in July

While automobile production and sales in China decreased in July compared to the same period last year, automobile exports increased. According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), 2 million 400 thousand automobiles were produced in the country in July, while 2 million 390 thousand automobiles were sold. Automobile production decreased by 2.2 percent annually, and sales decreased by 1.4 percent. Automobile production reached 15 million 650 thousand in the first 7 months, increasing by 7.4 percent compared to the same period last year, while sales, which reached 15 million 630 thousand, increased by 7.9 percent. Production increased by 9.3 percent annually and sales increased by 9.8 percent in the first 6 months. Exports increased by 63 percent On the other hand, automobile exports in July recorded a significant increase compared to the same period last year. According to data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), a total of 310 thousand automobiles were exported last month, while automobile exports increased by 63 percent annually. While a total of 1 million 990 thousand vehicles were exported from China in the first 7 months, the export increase reached 81 percent.
