TMO announced the corn purchasing price

The Soil Products Office (TMO) announced corn purchasing prices. Accordingly, the institution determined the corn purchasing price as 6 thousand TL per ton. In the public statement made on the TMO website, it was stated that the corn harvest started locally in Adana and Hatay in the first week of August and is at approximately 8 percent levels as of today. TMO noted that the markets have been closely monitored since the beginning of the harvest and that policies have been created according to the course of the markets. The institution announced that it is estimated that corn production in 2023 will be 8.5 million tons, the same level as last year, and that the corn purchasing price has been determined as 6 thousand TL per ton.
