Xi also said that all institutions in Russia and China are working intensively to implement the agreements signed between the two countries. Explaining that the political trust between the two countries is also steadily deepening, Xi said, “Intensive and effective strategic cooperation is ongoing. Bilateral trade volume is reaching historical records and approaching our goal of $200 billion.” Xi emphasized that he has held 42 meetings with Putin in the last 10 years and that they have developed a close friendship as a result.
