NATO holds emergency meeting

The ambassadors of NATO member countries will discuss the missile landing in Poland at the North Atlantic Council meeting. The NATO Spokesperson announced that the urgent meeting will be held under the chairmanship of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. It was stated that the meeting to be held at NATO headquarters in Brussels will discuss the “tragic incident” that led to the deaths of two people in Poland. It was reported that a missile of unknown origin fell in the village of Przewodow on the Polish border with Ukraine, killing two people. Following this, the Polish National Security Committee held an emergency meeting and decided to “increase the combat readiness of military units.” Many NATO countries made statements that the development was concerning and stated that all dimensions of the incident should be examined and many details should be clarified. Tensions rise While Russia is carrying out large-scale missile attacks in Ukraine, a missile fired by an unknown source hit a village in Poland on the Ukrainian border, killing two people. While Poland convened its National Security Committee, the Russian Defense Ministry denied accusations that Russian missiles hit Polish territory, calling them a "deliberate provocation."
