Bitcoin sees above $57,000 for the first time since 2021

Bitcoin’s price rose above $57,000 in early Asian trading. Bitcoin hit $57,000 for the first time since late 2021, boosted by investor demand via exchange-traded funds as well as purchases by MicroStrategy. The digital asset rose 4.4% to $57,039 before settling at $56,473 as of 10:22 a.m. Tuesday in Singapore. The uptick was helped by MicroStrategy’s announcement that it had invested $155 million and had 3,000 bitcoins. Bitcoin’s price has risen 33% since the start of the year, continuing a long rally that has also fueled speculative appetite for smaller tokens like Ether and BNB.
