This week, gold and the dollar made gains from investment instruments. The BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul closed the week losing 3.57 percent to 8,828.70 points. The index saw its lowest point of 8,795.90 and its highest point of 9,368.51 during the week. During the same period, the Borsa Istanbul Services Index lost 2.22 percent to 8,362.27 points, the Technology Index decreased by 5.41 percent to 14,603.85 points, the Financial Index lost 3.19 percent to 9,424.07 points, and the Industrial Index decreased by 4.06 percent to 13,880.73 points. Among the stocks included in the BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul, the one that rose the most this week was Akfen Renewable Energy with 21.76 percent. Akfen Renewable Energy was followed by Doğuş Otomotiv with 7.83 percent, Karsan Otomotiv with 4.68 percent. Among the stocks in question, those that lost the most value were Penta Teknoloji Ürünleri Dağıtım with 12.46 percent, Coca-Cola İçkile with 11.18 percent, and Astor Enerji with 10.27. The most valuable companies whose shares are traded on Borsa Istanbul were Koç Holding with 453 billion 164 million liras, Ford Otomotiv with 379 billion 333 million liras, and Turkish Airlines with 372 billion 945 million liras. Gold and dollar increase The gram price of 24-carat gold bullion increased by 0.13 percent last week to 2,238 liras, while the price of Republic gold increased by 0.12 percent to 15,043 liras. The price of the dollar increased by 0.80 percent to 32.2190 liras, and the selling price of the euro increased by 0.30 percent to 35.1450 liras. The selling price of the British pound, which was 41.2570 lira last week, decreased by 0.18 percent this week to 41.1810 lira. The Swiss franc found buyers at 37.0970 lira, up 1.11 percent compared to the previous week.
