Trump found guilty

Former US President and Republican candidate for the 2024 presidential election, Donald Trump, was found guilty by a jury of all 34 charges against him in the "hush money" trial he was on in New York. The jury has made its decision in Trump's "hush money" trial, which has been going on for 6 weeks. The 12-person jury, 7 of whom are men, decided that Trump was guilty of all 34 separate charges against him in the "hush money" trial. Thus, for the first time in US history, a former president who appeared before a judge on the charges against him was found guilty. Trump made a short statement to the media after the jury's decision, saying, "This was a disgraceful and fraudulent trial. People know what happened here. I am a very innocent man. I am defending our country and our Constitution." Arguing that the country has turned into hell, Trump reiterated that the case was brought up by his political rivals and said, "We have a country in serious trouble, this was a fraudulent decision, this judge should never have been allowed to hear this trial." Judge Juan Merchan, who is presiding over the case, set July 11, 2024 for Trump’s sentencing after the jury announced its verdict. Trump’s “hush money” case On March 18, 2023, US President Trump was indicted by a grand jury as part of an investigation launched by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office into the illegal payment of “hush money” to adult film actress Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential election. Trump appeared before a judge in New York on April 4, 2023, for “hush money” and falsifying records related to it. Trump, who denied the 34 separate charges against him, described the allegations against him as a “political witch hunt” and stated that he viewed the accusations as “election interference.” Trump was recorded as “the first former president in American history to appear before a judge on the charges against him.”
