Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar announced on his social media account that the gas agreement with Azerbaijan has been extended to 2030. Bayraktar made the following statement on his X account: "During our trip to Baku, we took new steps that will form the infrastructure of the Natural Gas Cooperation Agreement that we signed with Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikail Cabbarov in Istanbul last month. With the four agreements signed between BOTAŞ and SOCAR, Azerbaijani gas will be transported to Europe and Nakhchivan via Turkey, and Turkmenistan gas will be delivered to our country. We also signed the extension of the natural gas supply agreement between BOTAŞ and AGSC company, which was due to expire this year, until the end of 2030. I hope that the agreements will be beneficial to the two brotherly countries."
