Apple monopoly lawsuit spreads in the US

The states of Indiana, Massachusetts, Nevada, and Washington have also joined the antitrust lawsuit filed by the US Department of Justice against Apple over its alleged monopoly on the smartphone market. In a statement made by the US Department of Justice, it was recalled that in March, attorneys general of 16 states applied to the New Jersey District Court due to Apple's "anti-competitive practices." The statement, which informed that the states of Indiana, Massachusetts, Nevada, and Washington have also joined the antitrust lawsuit, reported that an amended version of the lawsuit has been submitted to the court. The lawsuit filed by the Department in March alleged that Apple used its market power to make more money from consumers, developers, content creators, artists, publishers, small businesses, and merchants. While Apple was accused of establishing an illegal monopoly on smartphones by imposing contractual restrictions on developers and blocking critical access to developers, it was claimed that every step in Apple's behavior strengthened the moat around the smartphone monopoly.
