Record in wind electricity production

Turkey’s electricity production from wind energy reached an all-time high of 228,604 megawatt-hours yesterday. According to Turkish Electricity Transmission Inc. data, 1 million 16 thousand 62 megawatt-hours of electricity was produced in Turkey on a daily basis yesterday, and consumption was 1 million 25 thousand 573 megawatt-hours. Yesterday’s highest electricity consumption was 47 thousand 573 megawatt-hours at 15:00, while the lowest consumption was 35 thousand 233 megawatt-hours at 06:00. On a daily basis, 1 million 16 thousand 62 megawatt-hours of electricity was produced yesterday, and consumption was recorded as 1 million 25 thousand 573 megawatt-hours. Wind power plants took the lead in production with a 22.5 percent share. This was followed by imported coal power plants with 20.2 percent and lignite power plants with 13.7 percent. Turkey exported 6,981 megawatt-hours of electricity and imported 16,492 megawatt-hours yesterday.
