German producer inflation at 9-month low

The Producer Price Index (PPI) in Germany fell by 3.9 percent monthly in November, falling more than expected. Analysts had forecast a 1.7 percent decline in November. The German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) announced the Producer Price Index (PPI) data for November. Accordingly, the PPI in Germany eased for the second consecutive month in November, signaling that high inflation may be easing as energy costs decrease in Europe’s largest economy. According to the data from the Federal Statistical Office, the PPI in Germany increased by 28.2 percent annually in November. Analysts had forecast a 31.1 percent annual increase for November. The annual producer inflation of 28.2 percent recorded in November was the lowest annual inflation since February. The PPI had increased by 34.5 percent annually in October. On the other hand, the producer price index in Germany fell by 3.9 percent monthly in November, falling more than expected. Analysts had forecast a 1.7 percent decline this month. Germany's PPI fell by 4.2 percent last month.
