Changes were made to the surveillance practice in the import of some construction equipment parts

The scope of the surveillance application for the import of certain construction machinery parts has been changed. The Communiqué on Amendments to the Communiqué on the Implementation of Surveillance in Imports prepared by the Ministry of Trade was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force. The scope of the goods subject to surveillance application has been rearranged with the communiqué determining the procedures and principles regarding the surveillance application carried out for the import of certain construction machinery parts. Accordingly, the unit customs value of 6,500 USD per ton applied for the import of products under the headings of “Buckets, scoops, shovels, grapples and hooks”, “Bulldozer and angledozer blades” and “Others” will continue. On the other hand, the scope of the group of goods under the heading of “Others” will not include “metal/rubber excavator tracks and chains and/or shoes belonging to them”.
