US technology giant Microsoft has announced a partnership with blockchain Aptos Labs to work on AI and web3. “We anticipate that AI will be incorporated into web3 solutions on a larger scale in the coming months and years,” said Daniel An, Global Business Development Director for AI and web3 at Microsoft. As part of the collaboration, Aptos Lab will also develop a chatbot using Microsoft’s AI infrastructure. Artificial intelligence continues to conquer the technology industry. American technology company Microsoft has announced a strategic partnership with blockchain Aptos Labs to work on AI and web3. “The primary focus for both companies is to solve our respective industry problems. Our collaboration allows Microsoft’s AI models to be trained using Aptos’ verified blockchain insights. We can become incredibly productive by using these tools every day in our lives. Whether it’s researching and putting together a directory of the best restaurants in your neighborhood or helping you write code for your business or research,” said Mohammad Shaikh, co-founder and CEO of Aptos Labs. Blockchain-based solutions can help verify, timestamp, and attribute content to its source, thereby increasing credibility in a distributed digital economy. Shaikh said AI needs to evolve responsibly and can help web3 gain the necessary credibility. Shaikh said Aptos’ blockchain throughput can support up to 160,000 transactions per second, with a goal of reaching “hundreds of thousands by the end of the year.” “We anticipate AI will be incorporated into web3 solutions at a larger scale in the coming months and years,” said Daniel An, director of AI and web3 global business development at Microsoft. The two companies will work together to create new solutions that combine AI and blockchain technologies to expand the use of web3 and enable new innovations in the decentralized space. As part of the collaboration, Aptos Labs will leverage Microsoft’s AI infrastructure to launch new products, such as a chatbot called Aptos Assistant, which will answer user questions about the Aptos ecosystem and provide helpful resources to developers.
