OSD: Automotive production up 15.8 percent in November

In the automotive sector, production increased by 15.8 percent in November compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 133,466 units. Production in the same month of the previous year was at 115,304 units. In the January-November period, the automobile market decreased by 2 percent to 505,886 units. According to the data of the Automotive Manufacturers Association (OSD), automobile production in the same month increased by 18.4 percent annually, reaching 83,999 units. While the automotive market increased by 34.9 percent to 86,481 units, the automobile market increased by 37.8 percent to 59,222 units. In the January-November period of 2022, total production increased by 6 percent, and automobile production increased by 2 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. During this period, total production was 1 million 210 thousand 331 units, and automobile production was 717 thousand 368 units. In the commercial vehicle group, production increased by 13 percent in the January-November period of 2022, by 25 percent in the heavy commercial vehicle group and by 11 percent in the light commercial vehicle group. Compared to the January-November period of 2021, the commercial vehicle market increased by 6 percent, the heavy commercial vehicle market by 19 percent and the light commercial vehicle market by 3 percent. In the January-November period of 2022, compared to the same period of the previous year, total automotive exports increased by 5 percent in terms of units and automobile exports by 0.4 percent. During this period, total exports were 876 thousand 187 units and automobile exports were 509 thousand 364 units. In the January-November period of 2022, compared to the same period of the previous year, total automotive exports increased by 5 percent in dollar terms and 19 percent in euro terms compared to the same period of the previous year. During this period, total automotive exports were realized as 28.3 billion dollars, while automobile exports decreased by 5 percent to 7.9 billion dollars. Automobile exports in euro terms increased by 8 percent to 7.6 billion euros.
