It has been learned that the Turkey Wealth Fund (TVF) has taken action again to increase the core capitals of public banks, and that it will increase the capital of Ziraat Bankası, VakıfBank, and Halkbank by over TL 20 billion each. In line with its mission to support stability and depth in financial markets, TVF last took part in the process of increasing the capital of 3 major public banks by a total of TL 48.6 billion in February. As a result of the transaction in question, TVF, which holds all of Ziraat Bankası shares, increased its partnership share to 87.7 percent in Halkbank and 64.8 percent in VakıfBank. According to the information obtained, TVF, which has taken action once again in line with the same mission, will this time increase the capital of 3 major public banks by over TL 20 billion each. In May 2020, TVF also carried out the process of increasing the capital of the three major public banks by a total of 21 billion liras.
